
Bonnie
Noble Silberman
General Manager, Five Forks
Bonnie served as General Manager of our Greenville
location starting in 2003 when she joined the Sportsclub team
after being a club member for 9 years. Bonnie oversees
the day-to-day operations of the club ensuring the delivery
of quality services to our members. Bonnie also directs
our Membership team and together they work in recruiting
and retaining our clubs members. She came to us after
many years in healthcare and healthcare marketing while
living on both the West and Southeast coasts, calling
South Carolina home now for more than 14 years. Bonnie
earned a Masters degree in Social Work from Wayne State
University in Detroit Michigan. She serves on the board
of several local community agencies and is our IHRSA
representative for the Annual Legislative Summit, a
group of club owners and managers advocating for legislative
changes at the national and state level to benefit both
members and employers in support of choosing and practicing
a healthy lifestyle.
Rodger
Rhinerson
General Manager, Simpsonville
Rodger joined the Sportsclub team in 2007 after being
a member for two years. He is responsible for the day-to-day
operations of Sportsclub Simpsonville, to ensure a superior
quality club experience for all the club members. Rodger
will also direct the Membership team and together with
that team will be responsible for recruiting and retaining
new members of the club. Rodger came to us with a Sales
and Corporate Management background. For the past 8
years he has served as the Associate Regional Director
and Major Account Sales Manager for The Real Yellow
Pages from BellSouth (now the new AT&T). He holds
a BBA degree in Corporate Management from Western Michigan
University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Rodger is a cancer
survivor and is a volunteer at Cancer Centers Of The
Carolinas and works in the chemotherapy room with the
patients to make their difficult times as pleasant as
they can be. He is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan
but boasts being a true Southerner at heart having moved
to the South in the mid 70’s.
Harry
Kibler
Facilities Director
Harry came to Sportsclub in July of 2002 with over 12
years of Maintenance Supervisory experience. As the
Facilities Director for all Sportsclub locations, he
is responsible for maintenance, housekeeping, safety,
and security. He is EPA certified as a Universal Technician
in HV/AC and has been licensed by DHEC as a Certified
Pool & Spa Operator since 1997. Additionally, he
obtained certification by the University of Maryland
in Hazardous Materials Emergency Response and has over
12 years experience as an Emergency Medical Technician.
One of Harry’s proudest accomplishments was receiving
the “Star of Life Award” by the Governor
of Maryland for a rescue of a cardiac arrest victim.
Harry has two daughters and stays very active with them.
Harry loves hiking, camping, and woodworking.
Maribeth
Kraft
Fitness Director
Maribeth joined the Sportsclub team in July 2005 as
the Fitness Director for Sportsclub Greenville, and
now oversees the personal training team and manages
the fitness programs at all Sportsclub locations. Maribeth
moved to Greenville, SC from Albany, NY in August 2000.
She has worked in the fitness industry for over 12 years.
She is certified as a Health Fitness Instructor with
American College of Sports Medicine and earned her BS
in Nutrition Science from Russell Sage College.
Libby
Stewart
Group Fitness Director
Libby manages our Group Fitness teams in both Sportsclub
locations. She brings to our facility over 15 years
of club industry experience always keeping Group fitness
as her first love. She holds a BAIS in retail management
from the University of South Carolina. She is a certified
personal trainer, Primary fitness instructor as well
as a Step Reebok counselor through AFAA. She is certified
through Balanced Body and Power House in Pilates and
is a Pilates Personal Trainer. She holds certifications
from Les Mills in Body Pump, Body Step and Body Combat.
Fitness is her passion and if she is not in the studio
she can be found on the tennis court.
Ashley
Russo
Massage Director
Ashley has been with Sportsclub since June 2004. Her
qualifications include: Graduate of Southeastern School
of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy, Certified Massage
Therapist, experienced in Swedish massage and allied
modalities and clinical neuromuscular and structural
body work. Specialties Include: Deep Tissue Massage,
Neuromuscular Massage, Sports Massage and Reflexology.
Jackie
Osborne
Front Desk/Juice Bar Manager,
Simpsonville
Jackie came to Sportsclub Simpsonville in January of
2004 as a part-time front desk staff. In August of 2004
she was promoted to Front Desk Supervisor. Her responsibilities
include Front Desk and Juice Bar operations. She comes
to Sportsclub with over 11 years experience in Food & Beverage Management.
Jodie
Joseph
Office Manager, Simpsonville
Jodie became the Office Manager of Sportsclub Simpsonville
in September 2004 after working as Nursery Director
since November 2002. She has been with Sportsclub since
September 2001. Jodie oversees the day-to-day operations
of the office and member accounts. Her management experience
includes two years of Teller Supervision at CCB and
a year and a half as Nursery Director in Simpsonville.
Dave Carrick
Tennis Director
Dave has over 35 years of tennis experience ranging from club to resort operations. He is a certified PTR instructor 3A with over 100 continuing tennis education credits beyond initial certification. He played Division 3 tennis at Maryville College in Tennessee and continues to play leagues and tournaments. His teaching specialties are team clinics and doubles tactics and strategies. Additionally, he has a soft spot for court maintenance. Dave’s goal is to provide members with good court conditions and instruction beyond the mechanics of the game.
Andrea
Merritt
Child Care Director
Andrea joined Sportsclub in 2004 as a member of the nursery staff at the Simpsonville location. In April 2005 she accepted the position of Nursery Director at that club and in December 2007 accepted her current position of Child Care Director for all locations. Andrea comes to Sportsclub with over 20 years of child care experience and has previously worked for both the YMCA and Greenville County Recreation District. In addition, during the summer Andrea is the Assistant Camp Director for Sportsclub Kids Day Camp.
Bill
Egan
Chief Executive Officer
Bill joined the Sportsclub organization in 2004, and
is proud to continue the company’s commitment
to local and independent ownership. Bill is a native
of Massachusetts and relocated to Greenville with his
wife Kiera, and five children. Bill is a graduate of
SUNY Cortland and has been working in the service industry
for the past 15 years. Bill enjoys hitting the courts,
both tennis and basketball.
John
Whitten
Chief Financial Officer
John joined Sportsclub in 2005 after being a longtime
club member, and serves as the company’s Chief
Financial Officer. He is a native of North Carolina
and has lived in South Carolina for 25 years. He earned
a B.S. in Accounting and M.B.A. John has broad experience
in all areas of corporate accounting. John lives in
Greenville with his wife and two daughters. John regularly
subjects himself to intense personal training sessions
with Spencer Moon.
Sarah
Swartz
Director of Marketing & Special Events
Sarah joined the Sportsclub team in 2000 and has held
several positions including Program Director/Front Desk
Manager, Membership Director and General Manager. In
her current role, she manages all aspects of the company’s
internal and external marketing as well as the club’s
special events. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Communications from Denison University in Granville,
Ohio. Sarah is a member of Hands on Greenville and is
President-Elect of the Simpsonville Rotary Club. Sarah
can often be found in Body Pump class and enjoys hiking
with her dog at Paris Mountain.
Fay
Smith
Business Office
Fay is responsible for Accounts Payable, handles member
account issues, contract management and assists the
Tennis Department. Fay is a longtime Sportsclub employee
and has served in several capacities including Front
Desk Staff. Fay is a regular on the tennis court and
enjoys personal training sessions with Devin Vanderwende.
Patty
Moore
Business Office
Patty is responsible for the Accounts Receivable function
of the business office, and handles the monthly billing
and collections process. After joining the club in 1990,
Patty began working at Sportsclub in 1997 as a Nursery
Attendant. Patty remembers when we got our first of
two….yes, two…treadmills. To this day it
remains her favorite piece of cardio equipment and uses
one almost daily.
Whit
McClendon
Information Technology
The ‘IT guy’ is responsible for keeping
the club software system functional and up to date as
well as posting new information to the club’s
website. Whit started his career with computers teaching
beginning DOS and Windows 3.1 and moved on to servers
and networking from there. He has certifications in
A+ hardware and software and Microsoft's MCP, MCSA and
MSCE. Whit sees his job as keeping the systems running
smoothly with the latest technology so that Sportsclub
can run smoothly in serving the members.
