GroupX group fitness programs are the perfect way to stay in shape and socialize with fellow members. Sportsclub is proud to offer over 250 classes weekly, for men and women of all ages and at all fitness levels. Our programming includes fourteen classes expertly created by Les Mills International, the world leader in innovative and effective group fitness solutions. We also offer numerous specialty programs that cater to your specific needs. You will find classes for core strength, dance, flexibility, balance, cardiovascular endurance, and much more. All programming is refreshed and enhanced quarterly to keep you challenged and excited.
All of our Group Fitness Instructors are nationally certified and complete a rigorous training program to fully prepare them to coach and motivate. Our instructors are diligent and passionate about giving you a world class experience every time you enter their class!
“The world’s fastest way to get in shape!” This one-hour strengthening class utilizes barbells and adjustable weights for a total body workout.
This cutting-edge, updated step class provides an energetic workout while featuring high intensity intervals followed by muscle conditioning. It aims to tone the lower body while pushing the fat-burning systems.
This Yoga, Tai Chi, and Pilates workout builds flexibility and strength and leaves you feeling centered and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration, and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves, and poses create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
The workout with punch! This empowering cardio program inspired by the martial arts draws from karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi, and Muay Thai. Supported by driving music and powerful instructors, strike, punch, kick, and kata your way through a fiercely energetic workout!

This is a sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. The world’s latest dance sensation featuring simple but seriously hot dance moves, SH’BAM™ is the perfect way to shape up. Set to a soundtrack of chart-topping music heard in the world’s hottest nightclubs, familiar classics remixed, and modernized Latin beats, SH’BAM™ is the ultimate fun and sociable way to exercise.
This 30-minute class really hones in on the torso and sling muscles that connect your upper body to your lower body. It’s ideal for tightening your tummy and butt, while also improving functional strength and assisting in injury prevention.
A 45-minute indoor cycling workout where you ride to the rhythm of powerful music, RPM™ leads you through hills, flats, mountain peaks, time trials, and interval training to reach your endorphin-calorie burning high of an average 600-700 calories per class.
Tone is a mix of cardio, resistance and core training that incorporates different training concepts to ensure an overall experience that fits everyone. In a Tone class, you will be able to tick off a complete workout that challenges your fitness, balance, core and strength. Tone is for every fitness level, with loads of options and modifications to go low or high as needed so everyone leaves feeling successful.
A 30-minute High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout, using an indoor bike. It’s a short, intense style of training where the thrill and motivation comes from pushing your physical and mental limits. This high intensity, low impact workout is scientifically proven to return rapid results.
GRIT™ is a high intensity class that takes cutting edge HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast. There are three options of GRIT™ including GRIT™ Cardio, GRIT™ Strength, and GRIT™ Plyo. The instructor may choose to mix and match all three of the GRIT™ programs.
GRIT™ Cardio improves cardiovascular fitness, increases speed, and maximizes calorie burn. A variety of body weight exercises provides the challenge and intensity you need to get results fast. GRIT™ Plyo is a plyometric-based workout designed to make you perform like an athlete. This workout uses a bench and combines explosive jumping exercises with agility training to build a lean and athletic body. GRIT™ Strength was designed to improve strength and build lean muscle. This workout uses barbell, weight plate, and body weight exercises to blast all major muscle groups.
Sportsclub Members have the opportunity to take boutique style Barre classes at no additional cost to their membership.
Set to upbeat music, this class is a full body lengthening and timing class derived from Ballet and Pilates principles that is sure to challenge all fitness levels. Members must sign up for a pass 30 minutes before class starts.

YOGA & PILATES
Nurturing, slow paced, and meditative poses. The goals are carefully orchestrated movements, controlled pressure, and well measured stretches. It also includes “range of motion” poses and some focus on joint health. Emphasis is placed on relaxation and stress relief.
A 60-minute unconventional yoga class applying traditional yoga techniques to help individuals facing health challenges at any level. This class will help participants manage their condition, reduce symptoms, restore balance, increase vitality, and improve attitude. Therapeutic Yoga is funded, in the spirit of wellness, by a joint relationship between Bon Secours St. Francis Health System and Sportsclub.
Slow-paced stretching with simple breathing exercises and perhaps seated meditation. This is a good place to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and get comfortable with yoga.
In a sequence of traditional poses, come find the edge you’ve been looking for. Using movement and breath, increase your strength, coordination, concentration, and body awareness while calming your mind and reducing stress. For all levels.
Traditional yoga poses are modified for people who cannot stand or lack the mobility to move easily from standing to seated to supine positions. While seated on chairs, students can undertake versions of twists, hip stretches, forward bends, and mild back bends.
Power Yoga incorporates poses and breathing exercises together in sequential flow for a more athletic form of yoga. This class can help improve muscular tone and strength. It increases joint flexibility and improves balance and posture.
More challenging yoga poses for the experienced yoga participant. Prior yoga experience a must.
YIN YANG YOGA
A deeply relaxing way of practicing yoga. With the use of props, achieve yoga poses without using much muscular strength, enabling you to hold poses longer and facilitating a deep release. This practice helps soothe the nervous system and focus the mind.
A combination of slow flow yoga and yin yoga. Yin yoga increases flexibility and health in the joints by focusing on the breath and long, passive holds in postures to target the connective tissues. The Yang portion of the class connects breath, alignment, and movement in a gentle flow to energize the muscles.
Yoga Sculpt is a high intensity, total body workout set to upbeat music. Tone and sculpt all the major muscle groups using free weights and body weight through a power yoga flow with high and low impact cardio and plyometric bursts to build stamina. All levels welcome. Knowledge of yoga is not required, but would be beneficial.
Known for its physical and mental health benefits, gentle and carefully coordinated movements open and stretch promoting the flow of energy throughout the body. Easy to learn and can be done by anyone.
Pilates emphasizes proper postural alignment, core strength and muscle balance. Develop long lean muscles as you learn control and stabilization of the body.
*A bike pass is needed to reserve your bike and is available 30 minutes prior to the start time in Greenville and Simpsonville, and 15 minutes prior to start time in Five Forks.
Instructors take participants through heart-pumping journeys riding through hills, flats, time trials, intervals, and mountains. You control the speed and the resistance.
This class is not for the faint of heart. It’s an hour and a half of intense cardio. We’ll jam on that bike until there’s nothing left but a puddle of sweat.
This class uses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away.
HIP HOP DANCE
A high energy dance class choreographed to fun and exciting pop and hip hop music.
PUMP AND RUN
A combination of intervals including BODYPUMP™ and running.
This energetic class combines cardio with intense upper and lower body muscle work for maximum fat burning and body sculpting results. You will experience a variety of styles and equipment use to keep your body guessing and to fully challenge your endurance and strength. This class does not include spinning.
Make the cut in this class, defining your muscles and core from head to toe.
An interval training class that combines all facets of exercise: weight conditioning, HR training, agility, and speed work. Non-stop from beginning to end. This class does allow you to work at your own pace, but is not suitable for beginners.
PEDAL AND PUMP
A heart pumping ride over hills and valleys in the Spin studio then into the main studio to hit the weights, combining cardio with strength training to maximize your outcome.
SIT & BE FIT
A total body workout including cardio, resistance, balance, and flexibility training. Many exercises are performed from a chair (there are some balance and standing exercises). Resistance bands, dumbbells, and balls are incorporated into the workout session.
BUTTS & GUTS
A total core workout aimed at the abdominal, lower back, and the glute-ham areas. The routines use functional movements to focus on the core and lower body. This workout also helps strengthen those small, vital stability muscles which will help to correct muscle imbalances.
LOW IMPACT SCULPT
This class will give you a cardio workout, while incorporating weights, balance work and resistance work at a level that is perfect for anyone. Easy on the joints and great for beginners. Come join us for some slow and steady fun.
Aqua aerobic moves, resistance equipment and the water’s resistance equal an aerobic and muscle toning workout with little or no impact on the joints.
(Five Forks Only): A unique full-body program using the shallow and deep ends of the pool to increase ones aerobic endurance.
(Five Forks Only): A water fitness class that uses noodles to add resistance and to enhance your buoyancy in deep water exercises.
(Five Forks Only): Using the properties of water and therapeutic noodles to improve balance and posture, and increase hip & core muscle strength.
(Greenville Only): This is a p.r.e.p.® approved class focusing on flexibility, strength building, and cardio. A balanced, less intense workout, this class is ideal for beginners or those with arthritis or fibromyalgia.
